About Us

About The White Rose Figure Skating Club

The White Rose Figure Skating Club is a U.S. Figure Skating member club formed in 1994. WRFSC is based at York Ice Arena in York, PA, and works to promote the mastery of all disciplines of figure skating. WRFSC supports skaters in competitive and recreational endeavors and welcomes skaters of all levels.

Our vision is to offer a supportive environment and quality programs, along with a professional coaching staff, so our skaters can excel in the sport of Figure Skating

Our commitment is to offer flexible skating times at a reasonable price. We exist because of our members, and we are very grateful to our members who have made us what we are today. We now strive to take our organization to the next level so that we can serve our skaters even better and continue to grow our club, and offer even more exciting programs in the future.

WRFSC hosts and coordinates U.S. Figure Skating test sessions for Moves in the Field, Free Skate, Dance, and Pairs. Test sessions are held periodically throughout the year.

Since our inception, we have hosted two South Atlantic Regional Figure Skating Championships (2002 and 2008). WRFSC was proud to host the 2013 State Games of America U.S. Figure Skating Championships, which attracted over 1,000 skaters from across the nation. Our club currently has the bid to host the Pennsylvania Skating Championship with Keystone State Games of America every year. We currently host 3 competitions annually: our Winter Showcase, Keystone State Games, and The White Rose Invitational.

New this year

PennJersey White Rose Invitational, part of the newly approved
PennJersey competition series.
We are excited to announce the launch of the Penn-Jersey Championship Series, a
new non-qualifying U.S. Figure Skating sanctioned series. Our goal is to create a fun
and meaningful series that provides opportunities for skaters of all levels and tracks to
compete, showcase their unique strengths, develop their skills, and earn
recognition. The series will consist of five competitions in total, where skaters may enter
the events of their choice; no pre-registration will be required to be considered for
series-end awards.

Series Schedule & Host Clubs:
• Sukumi Figure Skating Club: April 11–12
• The Skating Club of Ice Land- Spring Open: April 26
• Blue Ridge Figure Skating Club – Mountain Classic: May 2–3
• White Rose Figure Skating Club - White Rose Invitational: May 23–24
• Princeton Figure Skating Club (Final Event): May 30–31

Series high score trophies will be awarded for all IJS events. Skaters are not limited to
the number of competitions that they may attend, and are encouraged to participate in
multiple competitions to maximize their opportunities for placement and recognition. A
minimum of three competitions must be attended to be considered for the high score

trophy. Each skater’s top three highest scores will be tabulated to determine the series-
end awards.

Trophies will be awarded at the final competition of the series (Princeton Figure Skating
Club, May 30–31) as follows:
• Pre-Preliminary through Senior (Well Balanced and Excel)
• Adult Pre-Bronze through Masters

Compete USA level events will also be offered at each competition to encourage and
inspire our newer skaters. Please check the official announcement for each competition
individually for additional skating opportunities, such as Showcase, Partnered, and
Special Olympics Badge events.

The Penn Jersey Championship Series represents a comprehensive and inclusive
opportunity for skaters of all levels and abilities to showcase their skills, compete with
peers, and earn accolades throughout the series. We look forward to inspiring skaters
to keep growing, training, and celebrating their passion for figure skating.

Registration will be available through Entryeeze. Registration announcements to follow
after the new year. We hope that you will join us in participating in the first series of this
kind in our region!

Volunteers Needed
Volunteers enhance the club's success! We always welcome extra hands for setting up
and taking down before and after events. Competitions run smoothly thanks to
volunteers. We're seeking assistance with registration, hospitality, announcements, rink
monitoring, account running, and awards distribution. To volunteer for upcoming
competitions, please see Kerri Broch to sign up.
Volunteer Commitment Reminder:

All club members must volunteer a minimum of 8 hours at club-run events, with at least
6 of those hours dedicated to competitions hosted by the club. If you are unavailable,
you can enlist the help of family and friends to meet your volunteer hour requirement.
